Chef Tom began his restaurant career with JB Hooks in Lake Ozark, MO.    He started as a dish washer and worked his way into the Chef position.   He enjoyed the Chef position so much it became his passion.   He then decided to attend Johnson County Culinary Academy in Overland Park Kansas.  JCCC has one of the first programs in the United States to receive American Culinary Federation Educational Institute accreditation.  The award-winning cooking school opened its state-of-the art center in August, 2013.  JCCC boasts the largest culinary apprenticeship program in the country; not only is it accredited by the American Culinary Federation it is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor.

During his apprenticeship, Chef Tom worked at Ruthie D’s Restaurant under Chef Andre Torres.   He then became a Certified Executive Chef after graduating from Johnson County Community College.   He was then able to work as an Executive Chef for Old Kinderhook, assisting with the Grand Opening of their Lodge. Chef Tom was employed at Old Kinderhook for three years before landing his dream job at Camden on the Lake.  He has teamed up with the amazing Food and Beverage staff at Camden on the Lake.  He is doing his part in turning Camden on the Lake into the ultimate place for dining and entertainment at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Personal

Originally from Chicago Heights, Illinois, Chef Tom moved to Missouri when he was a teenager. He is married to his beautiful wife Shelley Robinett.  They have three lovely girls, Bailey, Madison & Hayden.  The family lives on Horse Shoe Bend in Lake Ozark, MO.  Chef Tom enjoys hitting the gun range, fishing in quiet coves on the lake and whenever possible enjoying time with his family.
